Characters: Team Torchwood
The first Cardiff Torchwood team of the 21st century was an odd bunch. An immortal, a technician, a doctor, a butler/archivist and Suzie. Add in the stray pet or two, like Myfanwy (who, it was noted, liked Ianto the best) and Janet, the Weevil that proved Weevils could mourn. And especially hated by Owen between deaths. And Gwen, the bleeding heart who joined last, creating the second team of the 21st century.
At first, it seemed Jack had picked his team members at random, but it became clear eventually that he saw something in each and every one that most people couldn't. He always thought his judge of character was rather well back when he was a con-man and before that, a time agent. But it took the Doctor, and Rose, to show him there was more to humanity than he thought. And having a few centuries under his belt now, seeing people's true potential became a sort of second nature to a man so far away from home.
