Tosh shivered. The sea air was brisk against her back as she unlocked her car.
“Fuck it’s freezing! Bloody Cardiff!” Owen’s dulcet tones rang across the car park. Tosh finished unlocking her car before searching for Owen.
Finding him looking peeved and walking away from the hub and car park, she called out to him. “Owen! Want a lift?” When he didn’t respond, she scraped her windows clean and drove in the direction he was heading.
She found him a block away, shuffling carefully along, so as not to slip on the ice that was under the layer of snow. Rolling down her window, she pulled up along side of him.
“Owen, come on, you’re going to freeze.” He stopped walking and got into the car.
“Happy now?” he snarked. Tosh nodded silently and drove away from the curb. The ride was quiet until Tosh turned the radio on. Soft Classical music started playing from the speakers.
“What is this shit?”
“Classical. It helps after a hard day. You should try it sometime,” Tosh responded.
Owen slumped back into the seat. The rest of the ride was silent as Tosh pulled into a parking space at his flat. Owen hurriedly got out of the car and bent down to be face to face with her.
“Oh, and thank you Tosh.” Owen straightened and slammed the door and made his way to the door.
Perhaps there is hope at melting his frosty front.
