“Merry Christmas, Gwen,” Rhys started to kneel in front of her.
“Rhys, what are you doing?” Gwen managed as Rhys got to his knee.
“This isn’t going to work.” Rhys attempts to get back up, but only manages to roll against the couch. Gwen jumped up and helped him onto the couch and started grabbing pillows to alleviate the pressure.
After making some tea, Gwen comes back in and sits on the arm of the couch.
“Marry me?” Rhys’ voice was quiet but full of emotion.
“Is that what that was all about? You could have just asked instead of making a big deal about it. Oh,” she stopped mid-tirade as Rhys had pulled out a ring box and gave it to her, “Yes. I will.”
