The mobile vibrated slightly as it rang. The Doctor frowned slightly, wondering what Martha would call him for soon. He pressed the answer button and put it up to his ear.
“Hello?” he asked, cheerfully. The person on the other end was quiet for a moment.
“Martha?” the tentative answer came. Definitely female, he noted.
“Er, no, Martha isn’t here. May I ask who’s calling?”
“Could you just tell her Julia called?”
“Of course, Julia!” They exchanged pleasantries before disconnecting.
The Doctor paused before pushing a lever down. She’ll call Martha’s home before too long and get Martha’s new number.
