He liked to watch her. Not when she was showering or changing, the TARDIS wouldn't let him do so anyways, but he liked to watch her sleep, read or even eat. There was just something about her that stirred something within him. Even the TARDIS seemed to be able to tune into her more easily than some of his former human companions.
She could be as stubborn as he sometimes, and though she sometimes made things worse, she always meant well. But when she slept, she looked younger than her 19 years, and for the first time, he let himself feel hope.
